In, on, at : trois manières de voir un lieu

Ville, pays : in. Adresse précise avec numéro : at (at 10 Downing Street). Rue sans numéro : in en anglais britannique, on en américain (in / on Oxford Street).
Les transports
- in a car, in a taxi (on y est assis, enfermé) ;
- on a bus, on a train, on a plane, on a bike (on peut s’y déplacer, ou on est dessus).

Décrire une image
C’est l’usage qui compte au bac : In the foreground (au premier plan), in the background (à l’arrière-plan), in the middle / in the centre, on the left / on the right, at the top / at the bottom.
Le mouvement
Pour aller vers un lieu, on emploie to : I go to school. Pour entrer, into : She walked into the room. Mais on dit go home (sans to) et arrive in London / at the station (jamais arrive to).

Décris une photo : In the foreground, a woman is sitting on a bench in the park. Behind her, at the far end of the path, two children are playing. In the top right-hand corner, we can see a church.
